My Recipe of Besan Laddoos on Diwali!
Diwali is one of the main festivals of India which is widely celebrated. Sweets have always been prepared in all Indian houses during any festivals big or small. Since the festivity is around, it's the perfect time to write my first post on food (My recipe of Besan Laddoos).
| Key Ingredients |
- Gram Flour (Aka Besan) - 2 cups
- Sugar (powdered or Bura) - 3/4 cup (Add more if required)
- Almonds and Cashews - 1/4 cup finely chopped (Add more if you want)
- Ghee - 1/2 cup (Add more if required)
- Take a thick pan and roast the besan on low flame.
- Keep on stirring besan so that it doesn't stick to the pan.
- After 15 minutes when you see the besan color is changing, pour the melted ghee.
- Continue stirring it on low flame till it starts giving the nutty fragrance and starts releasing ghee.
- Pour finely chopped almonds and cashews.
- Keep stirring it until almonds and cashews are properly mixed.
- Add sugar in it and keep stirring it on low flame for 2 mins. Switch off the flame and keep stirring the mixture until everything is properly blended.
- Keep the mixture aside for some time to cool it off. Once it is warm enough to handle, make small or medium sized balls.
- Laddoos are ready to be eaten now :)

Tips:
| Aata (Wheat flour) Laddoos |
- For better taste and texture, use Bura sugar in place of normal sugar.
- One can mix raisin and cardamon powder as well, it gives a different flavor to ladoos.
- One can skip the dry fruits and make Besan Ladoos with only besan sugar and ghee.
- Keep Laddoos in air tight container so that it can last longer.
- Same recipe can also be used to make Aata (Wheat flour) Laddoos.
